| Wyatt Earp's Old West Wyatt Earp's Old West Macintosh Version 1.0 - 1.02 Technical Issues QUICKTIME "Unimplemented Trap" or QuickTime Initialization Failed These errors are usually caused by not installing QuickTime. Check your extensions folder for QuickTime 2.0. If it is not there copy it over from the Wyatt Earp's Old West CD-ROM. To check your extensions folder, go into your Macintosh hard drive and click open your system folder. Inside the system folder you will find the extensions folder. Only one copy of QuickTime 2.0 should be present in your Extensions folder. If you are running system 7.5, this already comes with QuickTime 2.0 installed in the Extensions folder. SOUND If you have a problem with stuttering sound in Wyatt Earp's Old West running on a PowerMac turning off virtual memory will solve this problem. To turn off virtual memory, go under the Apple menu to Control Panels. Select the memory control panel and turn off virtual memory. After doing this, go to Special on the menu bar and restart your computer. EXTENSIONS CONFLICTS If you are running Wyatt with Ram Doubler certain parts of the program may not work properly. For example, if you do not get sound initially, but do get sound with "George" at the signpost or if you see an eyeball and upon clicking on it nothing happens (no sound), then you may be having a conflict with ram doubler. You can drag Ram doubler out of the Extensions folder located within your System folder on your Mac hard drive out to your desktop or if you are using System 7.5 disable Ram Doubler through Extensions Manager. VIDEO DISPLAY Blank screens If you go to boot hill after finishing the shootout and it appears blank then you need to adjust the number of colors that you are running on the machine. Turn colors up to thousands by going under the Apple menu to Control Panels. Select Monitors and turn colors up to thousands if you have that option available. OTHER ISSUES Can't Find File FO6? If you are getting this error message when trying to click on the Livery sign above the Livery Stable when in the Wyatt Earp program, this is a known bug associated with the Macintosh version 1.0 of Wyatt Earp's Old West. This problem was fixed in Wyatt Earp's Old West Macintosh version 1.02.
