| Hammond Atlas of the World Error Messages Hatw caused an Invalid Page Fault in module Kernel32.dll When problems occur with most Windows 95 or 98 programs you may first get an illegal operation message. After receiving the illegal operation error message click Details to view more information about the problem. The above error has been seen with the Hammond Atlas of the World and is caused by a conflict between your video card and the Hammond Atlas. To resolve this error try changing the resolution and color setting on your machine. If you are running in 256 color mode, try changing to Highcolor (16-bit) or vice-versa. If in doubt, try changing to 640 x 480 x 256 colors. Follow the instructions below for changing colors on your system. Adjusting Colors\Resolution Click Start and choose Settings and Control Panel. Double-click the Display icon. Click the tab in the upper right hand corner labeled Settings. Click on the down-arrow button located to the right of the Color Palette field. For 256 colors, select 256 from the color palette pull down menu. For thousands of colors, change the color palette to High Color 16-bit. Then click Apply or press the ENTER key. You may be prompted to restart Windows at this point for the changes to take affect. If you do not have the option of going into the amount of colors you would like to, then you may need to contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for updated video drivers or additional video RAM. Changing your Resolution/Desktop Area: In the section labeled "Desktop Area", drag the slider to the left or to the right to decrease and increase the currently displayed number of pixels on your monitor. Adjusting the resolution may resolve some display related problems with the Hammond Atlas.
