Everyone had to eat! Learn the fascinating details, and
compare them at the click of a mouse. You'll learn that:

The Viking diet was heavy in meat (pigs, goats, cows, deer),
which they kept and killed for themselves, and fish (whale meat, salmon,
seal, and herring). They baked their own bread, churned their own butter,
and made sour-milk cheese, and also found room for wild leeks, mushrooms,
and strawberries.

Among the Aztecs, meat and fish were reserved for special
occasions, and their animals of choice included deer, rabbit, turkey, and
dog. The staples of their diets were corn tortillas and tamales, served
with hot, spicy bean and vegetable stews. Aztecs living by water enjoyed
grubs and snails. And the families of warriors were treated to the flesh
of their conquered enemies, served with corn. Yikes!

Ancient Egyptians also enjoyed meat, but the poor frequently settled for
chicken or fish to complement their nutritious if not exciting diet of bread,
beans, onions and green vegetables. The rich enjoyed their meat roasted
with garlic, plus salads, cucumbers, leeks, bread, sticky cakes, melons,
and figs.
