A Stroll in XXth Century Art

Students can take a guided tour through the renowned contemporary art exhibition housed in the South of France without leaving the classroom. The Foundation of Marguerite and Aimé Maeght houses works such as The Bush by Henri Matisse, 1951; Starfish by Alexander Calder, 1944; Women of Venice II by Giovanni Giacometti, 1957; Stained Glass Window by Georges Braque, 1962; and Lunar Bird by Joan Miró, 1968. “The Foundation is not only a living and welcoming exhibition space, but also a place open to other arts…bringing young creators into frequent contact with more well-known artists,” said Adrien Maeght, the founder of the foundation.
